Backworld Jack

When Mike begins to hear strange voices at night whispering in his shed at the bottom of the garden people tell him he is going mad. But then one night the voices get louder and louder so he finally decides to investigate.

As he enters his Shed, instead of the tools he expected to find, he discovers that he has entered a strange world. It looks similar to our own, in fact you could be forgiving for mistaking the two at a quick glance. But there is a feeling of something not quite right with this world. Two big clues are the fact it is always night and the sky is purple.

Mike soon learns that he has entered a parallel world that is home to all the magic and mysterious creatures that have been kicked out of the main world. Because it falls behind our world (so to speak) it has been named "Backworld"

But there is a problem in Blackworld. The most malevolent evil force in backworld,a force known simply as Jack, has once again found its way into the normal world where it plans to resume what it had started many years ago when the portal last opened...1888 in the Whitechapel area of London

Breaking News - the series

First a restaurant is bombed, then the police are called to a hostage crisis in a bank and then a serial killer strikes again killing their seventh victim...and this is just one of the dull days.
