A recently graduated psychiatrist is put in charge of a mysterious patient who has attempted suicide several times in the ten years that he has been institutionalized, not only that but he has never spoken a word.
Soon the pair begin to bond and the man speaks at long last, telling his life story...all 200 years of it and how he cursed himself with immortality in order to save the life of his first love.
